Material selection guide
| Material | Temperature (continuous) | Pressure | Applications | O-ring / body | Certifications |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| POM (acetal) | -20–98°C (certified 0–65°C) | -0.95 to 20 bar | Residential & commercial purifiers; cold & ambient water lines; RO systems; F&B equipment feed lines | EPDM, NBR / POM | NSF 51, NSF 61, WRAS, ICIM, ACS, KTW-BWGL |
| PP (polypropylene) | 0–60°C | 0 to 10 bar | F&B equipment internal piping; washable areas in food facilities; beverage & dairy transfer | EPDM, NBR / PP | NSF 51, NSF 61 |
| PPSU (polyphenylsulfone) | -20–140°C | -0.95 to 20 bar | Hot water purifiers; coffee & tea extraction; hot water lines for beverage heating; high-temp cleaning | FKM / SUS316L / PPSU | NSF 169 |
| PVDF | -20–120°C | -0.95 to 20 bar | Semiconductor & display processes; battery manufacturing; chemical industry | FKM / SUS316L / PVDF | NSF 169 |
| SUS316L stainless | -15–220°C | -0.95 to 15 bar | F&B plant piping; pharmaceutical & bio processes; high-temp, high-pressure drinking water; CIP/SIP | FKM / SUS316L | FDA |
| POK (polyketone) coming soon | 0–98°C | -0.95 to 20 bar | Premium water purifiers; direct-connection drinking water; chlorinated water lines (long-term) | EPDM, FKM / POK | NSF 51, NSF 61 |
Operating pressure varies with tube type and temperature. Bodies and O-rings are available in alternative materials on request.
Connecting and disconnecting
- 1Cut the tube square
Use a proper tube cutter so the end is clean and square, with no burrs or scoring.
- 2Push in to the tube stop
Insert the tube fully until it bottoms out against the tube stop.
- 3Pull to check
Pull back on the tube to confirm the collet has gripped.
- 4Fit the locking clip
Insert the locking clip between the body and the collet (sleeve).
- 5Push back once more
Push the tube in again to check it is secure. The clip stops pull-out and movement.
- 6Depressurise before removal
Check the line is fully depressurised, then remove the clip.
- 7Release
Press and hold the collet square against the body while pulling the tube out.

Cautions
- For water, food and beverage applications only — ask us about other media.
- Do not disassemble or modify products; this voids the warranty and may cause leaks.
- Avoid excessive stress from rotation, twisting or shock.
- Do not exceed 80°C on POM products (certified fluid temperature 0–65°C).
- Use PTFE tape only on threaded fittings — never pipe glue or liquid sealant.
- Never pull the tube or press the collet while the line is pressurised.
- Always use locking clips to prevent unintended separation.
- Follow the torque values below — over-tightening plastic threads causes damage and leaks.
